Step 1
A perfect Nude Look enchants with a flawless complexion. After applying your favourite moisturiser or primer, a foundation matching your skin tone should be applied over red or brown spots–try not to apply all over the face to avoid a ‘masked’ look. But if your skin is generally good, your face cream can simply be mixed with a liquid foundation or BB Cream and applied all over.We love: Vapour Beauty’s Stratus Skin Perfector. It reflects light, giving you a radiance, and fills in any open pores as well.Step 2
Small flaws such as tiny spots, dark circles, or pigmentation marks should be covered with a concealer. Get one that’s one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot under the eye or over spots and blend in well with your fingertips or a sponge.
We love: Lavera’s liquid concealer. It comes in a range of shades and is easy to blend in. Leaves skin looking moist, too.
Step 3
The Nude Look doesn’t need any flamboyant makeup at all. Just curl your lashes with an eyelash curler, then add some mascara, ideally a warm dark brown like Dr Hauschka‘s. Those who don’t want to skip eye shadow should pick a subtle, matt brown shade and apply it lightly to the lid, making sure to blend well. A slightly darker shade can also be applied to the eyelid fold, as well as to the lower lash line. Again, blend well with a good vegan eye shadow brush, like these.
We love: Dr Hauschka’s neutral Eye Shadow Palette. They’re gorgeous shades of brown that match any complexion, and the weighty, mirrored compact is simply gorgeous.
Step 4
Natural freshness can be conjured by a hint of blush in a warm brown shade. Apply it to the highest point of the cheeks in order to shape the face without making it appear hollow-cheeked. In summer, highlight a warm skin tone by applying bronzer instead of blush.

Step 5
In order to get a “pure” Nude Beauty Look, the lips are accented with a bit of foundation, then a thin sheen of subtle lip gloss or a lipstick in a gentle shade such as brown rosé, can be applied. Any eye-catching nuances, glitter particles, or dark lip liners are a no-no.
Step 6
For the last step, apply a transparent powder around the T-zone to fix the look, and to take away any shine. A light dusting with a large, vegan Kabuki brush should be enough.
We love: Finishing powders by Hynt Beauty. Comes with a lovely, fluffy vegan brush, too.
