In order to bring you what we feel are the safest, most effective, and pleasant to use natural sunscreens, we’ve devised our own rigorous standards that go into each product we select for our guide. We independently choose every product we recommend based on our criteria and a member of our team personally tries each one on the list.
All products recommended in the Organic Authority Sunscreen Guide are mineral sunscreens free from synthetics and other questionable ingredients. No scales or ingredient listings to decipher.
While many of the same sunscreens make our list year to year, we keep a close eye on product formulations and edit our list accordingly. If a product’s ingredients no longer meet our standards, we remove it from the list. We understand that things in the growing green beauty industry change rapidly and update our criteria annually to reflect new standards and developments in natural sunscreens.
